Music And Motion

JULIE KIRSCH adores singing and making music with children of all ages! Julie has a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Millersville University and a Certificate in Kodaly Pedagogy from the Kodaly Music Institute in Boston, MA. She has taught elementary general music, band lessons, and chorus, as well as middle school general music classes. In the past she has also instructed private flute and piano lessons. Julie loves making music with others and has been a member of various musical ensembles throughout her life including wind ensembles, orchestras, marching bands, community bands, and choral ensembles. She hopes to use music to help spark imaginations and creativity.​

Lori Rebling enjoys helping new learners discover a love for music and the keyboard. Lori holds a BS from Millersville University, has 12 years of piano training, and has been the accompanist for a variety choirs and school musicals.
She is currently the Director of the Handbell Choir, accompanist for the Children’s Choir, and substitute for the organist at St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Gretchen Walter is always excited to share her love of music with children and their caregivers!  Gretchen holds a BA from McDaniel College, is licensed in Early Childhood Music Education, and has training in piano, voice, and music theory from both McDaniel College and the Peabody Conservatory of Music.  She is also the Director of Children's Music Ministries at St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she serves as an Assisting Minster, is a member of the Handbell Choir, and is the Sunday School & VBS Storyteller/Music Leader.​​

​​Margaret Folkemer delights in sharing her lifelong love of music with others!  Margaret holds a Bachelor of Music in Voice from McGill University (Montreal, QC), a Master of Arts in Ministerial Leadership from the United Lutheran Seminary, and has additional training in piano, oboe, pennywhistle (a type of Irish flute). She performs professionally as a soloist and with her two folk music bands; Dearest Home and Cormorant’s Fancy.  Currently, Margaret serves as the ordained Deacon of Music, Arts & Communication at St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she leads the Youth, Senior, Bell, and Heritage choirs. 

Nancy Hare has a favorite activity ... singing! Nancy holds a BA in music and voice from the University of Southern Maine and taught elementary music for 28 years in Carroll County.  She has performed locally with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society, Masterworks Chorale, Bel Canto Singers, Glyndon Area Players, York Little Theater, September Song, Theatre on the Hill, and with the music ministry of Cornerstone Church. Nancy directed the youngest choir for Children’s Chorus of Carroll County for four years and has taught toddler music classes since 2007. You can also catch Nancy at the Maryland Zoo where she volunteers at the Exploration Stations. Her teaching motto is; "Music in life, for life!".
